Over de bond
De Surinaamse Schaakbond is de bond voor het schaken in Suriname. We organiseren de nationale kampioenschappen, houden de ratings bij, leiden arbiters op en kiezen de teams die Suriname vertegenwoordigen.
Onze missie
Het schaken in Suriname bevorderen: nationale kampioenschappen, jeugdopleiding, arbiters en nationale teams.
De bond erkent toernooien, publiceert de ratinglijst en selecteert de nationale teams voor de Olympiade en jeugdtoernooien.
De bond wordt geleid door een gekozen bestuur van vrijwilligers. Verenigingen en scholen sluiten zich aan, en spelers worden lid.
Onze visie
Suriname terug op de eerste plaats in de Caribische regio.
